Description

Develop and maintain database solutions, focusing on DB2, with responsibilities including performance tuning, migration, and design.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write complex data retrieval queries and stored procedures for large-scale operations.
• Tune database performance to ensure efficiency under heavy loads.
• Migrate large databases from Sybase to new technology stacks.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical design documents.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in database development.
• Expertise in relational databases, specifically DB2 and Sybase.
• Proficiency with Azure SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting.
• Working knowledge of Python programming.
• Experience with database migration projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to interpret complex requirements and produce detailed design documents.
