Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 LUW environments across development, QA, training, and production stages.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations, creating checklists, milestones, and fallback procedures.
• Design and implement database changes by supporting application developers with efficient SQL coding and index recommendations.
• Maintain database environments and assist system administrators during OS and database system patching.
• Document entity types and relationships using Entity Relationship Diagrams in Erwin.
• Coordinate with QA teams to test applications and support business application requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 3+ years of experience specifically with DB2 LUW.
• 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• 3+ years of experience with Relational Data Modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Java and Hibernate.
• Experience with COBOL and IBM WebSphere.
• Experience with scripting languages including Perl, Python, or Unix shell scripts (ksh, csh, bash, or sh).
• Experience with Erwin.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM DataQuant or QMF.
• Experience with Quest Toad for DB2 LUW or DBI Software’s Performance Suite.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or Teradata.
