Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale DB2 database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design DB2 architecture, including installation procedures and configuration standards.
• Configure database and client encryption using TLS or Password in Transit.
• Troubleshoot encrypted connections across JDBC, ODBC, and native clients.
• Automate database maintenance tasks using Ansible, Shell, and Python.
• Execute DB2 database upgrades and provide scheduled on-call support.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in database-related roles.
• 7+ years of dedicated DB2 Database Administration experience.
• Deep knowledge of DB2 architecture, configuration, and industry best practices.
• Experience implementing, supporting, and auditing DB2 database security.
• Hands-on experience with HA and DR database and storage technologies.
• Proficiency with Linux and Unix/Linux OS platforms.
• Experience with Unix Shell, Perl, or Python scripting for automation.
• Competency with Ansible for database maintenance automation.
