Description

Support the enterprise-wide IBM DB2 for z/OS environment through installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM DB2 for z/OS software and related tools.
• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and stability of DB2 subsystems.
• Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades and fix packs according to enterprise standards.
• Perform health checks, problem analysis, and root cause determination for DB2 issues.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a DB2 System Programmer in a z/OS mainframe environment.
• Strong expertise in DB2 subsystem installation, migration, and maintenance.
• Deep understanding of SMP/E, JCL, REXX, and z/OS architecture.
• Experience with DB2 performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with tools such as IBM Utilities, BMC, CA, or Rocket Software.
• Ability to work independently and provide on-call support when required.
