Description

You will administer, design, implement, and support highly available and scalable Mainframe DB2 and IMS database solutions.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models, database structures, and table maintenance codes.
• Maintain DB2 and IMS databases using Data Partitioning and replication features.
• Resolve database performance, capacity, replication, and data issues.
• Provide Level 2 on-call support for the 24/7 DB2/IMS environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database design, development, integration, and performance tuning.
• Expertise with IMS Full Function/Fast Path, REXX programming, and MQ.
• Knowledge of DB2 for z/OS and mainframe tools: BMC, CA Platinum, SMPE, ISPF, SMS, SMF.
• Experience with IBM Replication CDC, QREP, and Data Replication/streaming.
• Proficiency in database performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization recommendations.
• Experience with data modeling tools and operational/data warehouse design concepts.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing 24x7 rotational support.
• Understanding of Distributed and Static SQL workloads.
