You will manage application database design, maintenance, and performance optimization for enterprise projects.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage data and perform development or maintenance on data models to support enterprise initiatives.
• Provide analysis and feedback regarding data model discrepancies and integration challenges.
• Coordinate with business units and technical staff to define data usage, lineage, and attributes.
• Gather requirements for new data models or the reuse of existing models in new environments.
• Align data architecture workstreams with business objectives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an application DBA in Oracle and/or PostgreSQL environments.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and general SQL.
• Strong experience in database schema design and implementation.
• Expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling using tools like ER Studio or ERWin.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data technologies including RDS (Oracle and PostgreSQL), Aurora, Redshift, S3, and Glue Meta Store.
• Proven ability in application and database performance tuning and SQL tuning.
• Experience writing database procedural code in PL/SQL, Python, and JAVA.
• Competency in UNIX/Python scripting and DevOps tools.
• Working knowledge of file formats such as JSON, Parquet, XML, and Avro.
