Description

You will manage and optimize DataStax and Cassandra database environments to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design moderately complex databases, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and other database objects.
• Develop ETL solutions and work with application teams to ensure optimal performance.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and database design.
• Execute DBMS upgrades, patching, and regular High Availability/Disaster Recovery testing.
• Monitor database performance, capacity planning, and resource consumption.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience specifically with DataStax or Cassandra.
• 5+ years of experience in Database Management or Data Integration.
• Proficiency in one or more DBMS such as DB2i, DB2 LUW, DataStax, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience with replication technologies like DTShare, CDC, SQL Replication, or Attunity.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide day-to-day database support.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to read a Logical Data Model.
• Relevant industry certifications.
