Description

You will manage DB2 on AS/400 environments, owning SQL deployments, table design, and performance tuning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL deployments, table design, and reorganization processes.
• Monitor IBM I DB2/400 performance using IBM I Doctor, Job Watcher, and Performance Navigator.
• Tune SQL queries, manage journaling, and handle indexing strategies.
• Automate and standardize daily DBA tasks through scripting.
• Provide L3 technical support for complex database-related issues.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in DB2 on AS/400.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL, including DDL for tables, indexes, views, and PK/FK creation.
• Proficiency in developing and managing Stored Procedures.
• Experience with SQL deployment and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with IBM I performance monitoring tools.
