Description

You will provide hands-on support for production databases running on-premise and in the cloud.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and scenarios for production systems.
• Manage database administration tasks with minimal guidance.
• Own on-call support responsibilities for database incidents.
• Contribute directly to database engineering initiatives.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience administering PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Familiarity with database architecture and SQL query basics.
• Understanding of database backup and recovery concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Linux-based systems and command-line tools.
• Ability to self-learn quickly and manage tasks independently.
• Experience working in production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or Prometheus.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or scripting in Bash/Python.
• Exposure to cloud-based databases (AWS RDS/Aurora).
