Description

You will design, develop, and maintain complex insurance and underwriting applications using the Delphi programming language.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build client/server applications using the Delphi IDE, including VCL and console apps.
• Analyze user requirements and participate in system design within an Agile or Scaled Agile framework.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues in existing codebases.
• Maintain legacy systems and integrate applications with RDBMS backends.
• Support weekend deployment schedules on a rotating basis.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of expert-level software development experience in Delphi (versions 7 through XE10).
• Extensive experience with Delphi IDE (RAD), including VCL, Console apps, DUnit, XML, and Web Services.
• Strong proficiency in RDBMS, specifically Oracle and/or MS-SQL Server.
• Deep understanding of COM, ODBC, OOPs concepts, and XML.
• Proven experience developing Client/Server applications, specifically using IIS.
• Hands-on experience with DevExpress and Woll2Woll components.
• Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git, BitBucket, or Mercurial.
• Experience working within the SDLC and as a member of an Agile or Scaled Agile scrum team.
