Description

You will manage and execute large-scale OpenStack deployments and component upgrades.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute major and minor upgrades for OpenStack and non-OpenStack components across various environments.
• Perform defect fixes, including hotfixes and Opsfixes, using Ansible playbooks.
• Analyze and troubleshoot deployment issues, coordinating with defect management and support teams.
• Debug complex issues within Linux, OpenStack, and configuration management systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on technical solutions, enhancements, and updating deployment guides and MOPs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in deployment or systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Mirantis OpenStack deployments using Fuel in large-scale environments.
• Strong Linux expertise, preferably Ubuntu, and virtualization knowledge.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools including Ansible, Ansible scripts, and Puppet.
• Experience using Foreman for infrastructure management.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and switch stacks.
• Working knowledge of storage protocols including iSCSI and Fibre Channel.
