You will manage day-to-day operational activities for large-scale federal IT projects, translating contract requirements into actionable plans and milestones. You will oversee staff performance, supervise diverse labor categories, and present status briefings to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Direct operational activities and supervise employees across various labor categories.
- Track and measure staff performance to ensure operational excellence.
- Present project findings and status briefings to stakeholders and executive management.
- Train and supervise new employees while implementing approaches to improve services or reduce costs.
- Translate contract requirements into actionable project plans and milestones.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience managing large, complex IT projects or operations.
- Project management certification such as PMP, PMgP, or equivalent Government certification.
- Proven experience managing projects within CMS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience managing and supervising diverse labor categories in large-scale projects.
- Ability to implement technology-driven approaches to fulfill requirements and optimize costs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience reviewing work products for correctness, industry best practices, and CMS standards.
- Familiarity with the CMS acquisition environment.
- Demonstrated experience briefing executive, managerial, and technical staff.
