Description

You will own the product design lifecycle from concept to prototype, ensuring technical excellence and functional requirements are met.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Research new materials and competitive products to inform design decisions.
• Develop and document functional requirements, translating them into detailed design documents for components.
• Organize and execute prototype building, testing, and analysis activities.
• Present complex products graphically using specialized CAD and engineering tools.
• Oversee drafting and testing specialists to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in engineering design and product development.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and product design tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with 3D modeling, orthographic/isometric/axonometric projections, and coordinate space transformations.
• Knowledge of top-down and bottom-up design methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited institution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated design tools and matrix computations.
• Supplier development and performance management capabilities.
