Description

Lead the design and analysis of steel connections and structural members, managing a team of 5 to 10 engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design all types of steel connections (shear, moment, brace, truss) following AISC standards.
• Produce and verify connection design calculations and member analysis for dead and live loads.
• Manage a team of 5 to 10 members, guiding them in producing accurate design calculations.
• Resolve connection clarifications raised by detailing teams.
• Design steel stairs and moment/braced connections for seismic loads.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in structural steel engineering or the detailing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC standards for steel connection design.
• Experience designing moment and braced connections for seismic loads.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Staad Pro, and Mathcad.
• Ability to perform member analysis calculations for dead and live loads.
• Strong verbal and email communication skills for technical coordination.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech).

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of Tekla Structures and SDS2 software for connection review.
• Experience with Ideasstatica, Giza, or SCS.
