Description

You will bridge the gap between product design and manufacturing to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM input for structures, electrical components, and electric machines to improve manufacturability and lower costs.
• Define manufacturing processes, tooling requirements, and process capabilities.
• Develop build plan requirements and author initial work instructions.
• Model 3D factory Digital Twins and integrate with automated equipment, PLC controls, robotics, and vision inspection systems.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new tooling and equipment while identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a design or manufacturing engineering role.
• Strong experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of Product Engineering workflows.
• Experience working with PLC controls and robotics.
• Ability to work with automated manufacturing equipment and vision inspection systems.
• Experience modeling 3D factory Digital Twins.
• Background in defining manufacturing process requirements and tooling interfaces.
