Description

You will own automotive plastic product design for bumpers, tailgates, lighting, and interior trims, executing designs independently with minimal supervision.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2-3 members to deliver perimeter or program design requirements.
• Interact with client engineers to understand inputs and execute independent designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to manage deliverables and participate in design reviews.
• Perform regulatory checks on style surfaces for passenger and pedestrian safety (ECE-26).
• Create OEM drawings and manage assembly processes.

Required Skills

• 3–9 years in plastics product design for automotive applications.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and NX for 3D design.
• Experience with Teamcenter or Windchill for PLM.
• Strong understanding of the new product development (NPD) cycle.
• Knowledge of plastics materials, manufacturing processes, and design guidelines.
• Familiarity with tooling fundamentals.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of automotive safety standards such as ECE and FMVSS.
• Working experience with European or American clients.
