Description

Design and develop vehicle exterior components, managing the full lifecycle from concept to launch. You will create complex CAD models and ensure Class A surface quality for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design exterior components including side valences, sill trims, underbody aero shields, wheelhouse liners, spoilers, rocker panels, glazing, OSRVM, and wiper systems.
• Create complex CAD schemes and models to an excellent standard.
• Apply thermoplastic and thermoset resin materials and Class A manufacturing technologies, including painting processes.
• Solve complex engineering problems using 3D problem-solving techniques and creative design approaches.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize fit, finish, gap, flush, and structural integrity of modules.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in vehicle exterior component design and development.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 or V6 for creating complex CAD schemes.
• Deep understanding of thermoplastic and thermoset resin materials.
• Knowledge of Class A manufacturing technologies and painting processes.
• Experience with computational tools used by design engineers.
• Background in module integration, tooling, and supply base management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as an integral part of a capable team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with front crash, aero features, lighting integration, and thermal expansion analysis.
• Proven track record in product launch phases.
