Description

Design Engineer for the Test Engineering Mechanical COE in Orlando, FL, operating on a hybrid schedule with 50% onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed mechanical design and drafting for test stations and design changes.
• Perform general CAD modeling for mechanical and electromechanical components.
• Design vibration fixtures for units under test and specialized fixtures for thermal testing.
• Create 3D models, CCAs, harnesses, and cables.
• Coordinate with documentation, program product design, and test engineering packaging groups.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design.
• 5+ years of experience using Creo for 3D modeling.
• At least 1 year of experience using Windchill.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling and 3D modeling.
• Practical implementation of geometric tolerancing.
• Understanding of precision machining.
• Knowledge of optical physics.
• Experience delivering design review presentations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Zuken.
