Description

You will design and produce Light Rail Vehicles, focusing on mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.

You will own customized production orders and design new components using industry standards.

You will manage complex PTC Creo 3.0 or PDMLink assemblies, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

You will provide drafting support for submittals and as-built drawings, incorporating field or customer-based changes.

You will support the creation and updates of Project/Platform Drawing Trees.

You will assist in procurement, manufacturing, and testing cycles while providing cross-functional support to System Engineers and design staff.

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience with 3D CAD modeling software.
• 3 to 5 years of design experience, preferably in Rail Vehicle Design.
• Proficiency in creating parts, assemblies, and bills of materials of varying complexities.
• Experience designing large and small welded or bolted assemblies.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, material properties, and corrosion mitigation.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical integration.
• Ability to develop conceptual designs and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 or more years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 8 or more years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• Extensive experience with PTC Creo 9.
• Experience with Windchill or similar PLM software, SAP, or releasing work packages via ECR/ECN/ECO.
• Design experience with sheet metal, welded steel structures, fiberglass, or plastic parts.
