Description

You will design and release detailed electrical wiring systems for aerospace applications.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual wiring diagrams and release detailed documentation for aircraft electrical systems.
• Define wire bundle definitions, routing, cable forms, and electrical integration strategies.
• Implement EMC segregation routes and EMI protection based on signal type and distance requirements.
• Calculate wire and cable sizing to satisfy aircraft environmental, current, voltage, and signal requirements.
• Select appropriate connectors and backshells for specific system applications.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in electrical wire harness design and routing within the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with Zukin software for wire harness design.
• Extensive experience in wire bundle definition and cable form design.
• Deep understanding of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation and routing.
• Proven ability to implement Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection.
• Expertise in wire and cable selection based on signal type, current, voltage, and environmental constraints.
• Experience with connector and backshell selection and definition.
• Ability to support technical planning, system integration, and verification and validation processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
