Description

You will develop integrated 3-D surfaces and solids in NX to support seating property builds and updates.

Responsibilities

• Model and surface in NX to create integrated 3-D surfaces and solids for seating property builds.
• Generate NX drawings to support parts fabrication and ensure timely release to meet program milestones.
• Monitor property build progress through Design Center Fabrication shops and resolve technical issues.
• Facilitate mock-ups, rapid prototype parts, and physical seating property fabrication.
• Coordinate with engineering, marketing, and production to evaluate design concepts and refine designs using working models.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of experience in design engineering roles.
• High-level NX CAD capability, specifically in modeling and drafting.
• Deep understanding of automotive design principles, including General Arrangement, Oscar occupant, eye ellipse, and typical sections.
• Knowledge of BlueBook and SAE dimensions and procedures.
• Proficiency with CAD, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with general automotive manufacturing processes and physical seating property construction.
• Ability to integrate complex systems and lead cross-functional meetings.
