Description

You will manage the design and release of automatic transmissions, gear reducers, and related structural components.

Responsibilities

• Develop design structures for automatic/hybrid transmissions, gear reducers, and park systems.
• Define technical requirements for castings, machined components, and park system subsystems like pawls and gears.
• Execute CAD updates and ensure 100% of Bills of Material are released in Teamcenter.
• Complete Tool Kick-Off (TKO) and DRBTR documentation.
• Develop DFMEAs to evaluate design failure modes and support quality reviews and testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automotive product engineering, design, or validation.
• Experience with transmission, driveline, axles, or related powertrain systems.
• Proficiency in CAD systems, specifically NX parametric solid modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter for data management.
• Practical application of GD&T and component stack analysis.
• Knowledge of complex castings, precision machined components, and assembly processes.
• Understanding of vehicle architecture and automotive manufacturing/quality processes.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Advanced English language skills (90% reading and writing).

Preferred Skills

• Experience working directly with OEMs or Tier 1/2 suppliers.
