Description

Lead the strategy, creation, and governance of the organization’s design system, ensuring scalability, consistency, and strict accessibility compliance across all digital products.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the design system strategy, establishing component lifecycles from request to QA and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Set visual and content standards, collaborating with the Brand team to create reusable patterns that optimize user experience and adhere to accessibility guidelines.
• Conduct regular accessibility audits with third-party vendors to ensure WCAG compliance and generate valid VPAT documentation.
• Influence product teams to adopt standardized components, driving change through effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles, integrating user feedback and accessibility requirements into iterative design improvements.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer specializing in large-scale design systems for complex digital products.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for creating and managing design assets.
• In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, 508) and best practices for digital inclusion.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bridge design and engineering implementation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable design solutions with high attention to detail.
• Experience establishing governance processes and standards for design system maintenance and evolution.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate across product pods.

Preferred Skills

• B2B SaaS experience.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
