Description

You will create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, maps, and schematics for utility infrastructure projects.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain 2D and 3D engineering record drawings, maps, sketches, and assembly drawings.
• Prepare plan and profile drawings, access road map books, and specialty maps including ROW clearing maps.
• Manage and update material and property equipment records within the TGIS program.
• Extract technical data from field notes, vendor catalogs, and technical manuals.
• Prepare permits for FAA, river crossings, railroads, highways, and storm water systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in electric utility or related industrial drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and MicroStation.
• Experience with CAD and GIS software, specifically ArcGIS and TGIS.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for engineering work.
• Aptitude for computer graphics and automated drawing methods.
• Ability to distinguish colors for technical accuracy.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
