Description

You will optimize data ingestion, monitoring, and infrastructure visibility as a Splunk subject matter expert.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data sources and logging for Windows, Linux, macOS, and network devices to optimize ingestion, parsing, and normalization.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions, custom dashboards, and reports to track performance metrics.
• Develop and optimize search queries and alerts to surface trends and infrastructure issues.
• Validate log sources and indexed data to ensure search criteria efficiency.
• Document investigation actions and collaborate with teams to support the problem management process.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in technical roles.
• 2+ years of direct experience with Splunk.
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with uberAgent.
• Working understanding of Pandas and Spark.
• Strong analytical skills for detecting false positives and developing data models.
• Ability to use data to build and showcase business cases.
• Background in Desktop Support or Desktop Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in incident and problem management.
