Description

You will design and develop Java applications for fixed income systems and migrate legacy applications to microservices.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing applications to Java-based microservices using Docker and containers.
• Design, code, test, and document software applications based on business specifications.
• Perform application and system performance tuning to troubleshoot issues.
• Build rich front-end user interfaces and web-based applications.
• Integrate in-house applications with various vendor software platforms.
• Interface with databases to extract information and generate reports.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Java experience designing and deploying complex projects.
• Expertise in Java 8 features, including Streams API and functional programming.
• Strong knowledge of concurrent and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring-based technologies, including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• 5+ years of SQL experience, including query writing and data modeling.
• Experience implementing microservices-based solutions and writing unit/integration tests.
• Experience with caching frameworks such as Hazelcast.
• Exposure to AWS services including EC2, ECS, Load Balancer, Lambda, and S3.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience setting up development environments and sandboxes.
