Description

Design and deploy business intelligence solutions using the IBM Cognos suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy complex ad-hoc reports, scheduled reports, and dashboards using Cognos Analytics and Report Studio.
• Build and manage data models, including star schemas and cubes, using Cognos Framework Manager.
• Optimize Cognos reports for performance when handling large datasets and troubleshoot data consistency issues.
• Integrate Cognos with databases, ERP systems, and data warehouses while ensuring seamless data flow via ETL processes.
• Configure user roles and security settings within Cognos to maintain compliance.

Required Skills

• 4-8 years of experience with IBM Cognos (Cognos Analytics, Report Studio, Framework Manager).
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying and report optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical data issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
