Description

You will build and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java, owning the full development lifecycle from wireframes to optimized, responsive code.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs and business requirements into technical specifications and high-quality Java code.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness across various Android versions.
• Identify, debug, and correct performance bottlenecks and threading issues.
• Design applications around natural user interfaces, touch interactions, and screen size layouts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Android development using Java.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and compatibility with different Android versions.
• Proficiency with Android UI design principles and Google’s interface guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs for back-end integration.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with Git for code versioning and management.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs, push notifications, and continuous integration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
• Experience with benchmarking and optimization.
