Description

You will maintain and enhance z/OS mainframe applications, focusing on COBOL and CICS development.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, write, and modify COBOL Batch and CICS programs to meet business requirements.
• Analyze, strategize, and implement coding solutions within defined timelines.
• Provide or guide technical support for applications in production environments.
• Mentor and guide less experienced programming and development staff.
• Perform secondary production support on an on-call rotation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with z/OS mainframe application development technologies.
• Proficiency in COBOL for Z/OS and CICS.
• Experience with JCL, IDz, ISPW, REXX, and TSO.
• Familiarity with VSAM and DB2 file structures.
• Knowledge of mainframe IDEs such as TSO/ISPF.
• Experience with utilities: IDCAMS, FILEAID, XPEDITER, QUIKJOB.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
