Description

You will modernize enterprise applications by migrating legacy Java systems to AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize legacy Java applications to AWS using Spring Boot and cloud-native practices.
• Design and develop scalable, modular Java microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Spring, API Gateway, and AWS Lambda.
• Maintain existing SOAP services during phased deprecation while optimizing legacy data access.
• Support infrastructure-as-code implementation using CloudFormation or Terraform.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development, specifically Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Spring Framework components: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
• Experience building and consuming both SOAP and REST web services.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL data modeling.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and short-term Kubernetes support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JPA and Hibernate for data access layer implementation.
