You will build and maintain developer portals and platform engineering tools to improve developer experience.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Node.js.
• Implement and extend Backstage.io plugins and features for the DevHub platform.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs focusing on performance, security, and usability.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines, service catalogs, and documentation portals into the platform.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and DevOps teams to streamline software delivery.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of full-stack development experience using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Expertise in React.js and Node.js.
• 2+ years of experience with Backstage.io or similar developer portal technologies.
• Experience building internal developer platforms, service catalogs, and self-service tools.
• Proficiency in REST and GraphQL API development.
• Knowledge of authentication patterns including OAuth and JWT.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience customizing or creating Backstage plugins.
• Contributions to open-source projects within the Backstage ecosystem.
