Roles and Responsibilities:

• Implement and support mainframe DevOps toolchain workflows using IBM UrbanCode Deploy, IBM Developer for z/OS, zAppBuild, DBB, Endevor, and Changeman (or equivalent SCM/release tools).
• Build and maintain z/OS CI/CD pipelines for COBOL/PL/I/JCL components and database and transaction services including DB2 and CICS.
• Configure and manage workload scheduling, batch monitoring, and alerting using IBM Workload Scheduler, Control-M, CA-7, OPC/TWS, and NetView, including SA z/OS where applicable.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and utilities using REXX, JCL procedures, Python, and Ansible to reduce manual effort.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, scheduler exceptions, and production batch abends; support release planning, change implementation, and post-deployment validation.

Skills Required:

• 5-15 years of relevant experience in mainframe DevOps, system automation, CI/CD, and workload scheduling
• Hands-on experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy, IBM Developer for z/OS, zAppBuild, DBB, Endevor, and Changeman for mainframe release automation.
• Strong z/OS mainframe fundamentals including JCL, REXX, ISPF, TSO, SDSF, VSAM, and DB2 utilities and batch processing concepts.
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance for mainframe application components, including DB2 and CICS integration.
• Workload scheduling and production monitoring using IBM Workload Scheduler, Control-M, CA-7, OPC/TWS, NetView, and SA z/OS; ability to troubleshoot scheduler and batch monitoring failures.

Good to Have:

• Shell scripting for operational automation and integration tasks.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
