Description

You will implement and support mainframe DevOps toolchain workflows, building z/OS CI/CD pipelines for COBOL, PL/I, JCL, DB2, and CICS components.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure IBM UrbanCode Deploy, Developer for z/OS, zAppBuild, DBB, Endevor, and Changeman for release automation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating DB2 and CICS transaction services.
• Manage workload scheduling and production monitoring using IBM Workload Scheduler, Control-M, CA-7, OPC/TWS, NetView, and SA z/OS.
• Automate operational tasks and utilities using REXX, JCL, Python, and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, scheduler exceptions, and production batch abends.

Required Skills

• 5-15 years of experience in mainframe DevOps, system automation, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy, zAppBuild, DBB, Endevor, and Changeman.
• Strong z/OS fundamentals: JCL, REXX, ISPF, TSO, SDSF, VSAM, and DB2 utilities.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for mainframe application components.
• Proficiency in workload scheduling tools (IBM Workload Scheduler, Control-M, CA-7, OPC/TWS, NetView).
• Scripting skills in Python, REXX, and JCL for automation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Shell scripting for operational automation and integration tasks.
