Description

You will manage and optimize enterprise-scale logging and monitoring infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and performance of the Splunk environment and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage Splunk clusters, including cluster building, data ingestion, and user role management.
• Configure and optimize search processes within logging platforms.
• Administer Linux operating systems and manage application runtime environments.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with enterprise system logging and monitoring tools.
• 5+ years of experience managing critical infrastructure using Splunk, Humio, or Elasticsearch.
• 5+ years of experience as a Splunk Administrator.
• 5 to 6 years of Linux operating system administration.
• Experience with open-source log shippers such as FluentD or Otel Collector.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Node Exporter and Process Exporter.
• Experience with Kubernetes logging and monitoring solutions.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and basic networking concepts.
• Understanding of multi-tier application architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Python or other scripting languages and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Splunk Admin or Data Admin certifications.
