Manage HPC workload schedulers, automate infrastructure, and troubleshoot complex Linux systems to support chip development.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer job schedulers (IBM Spectrum LSF or SLURM) in a large-scale HPC environment.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment, configuration management, and operational monitoring.
• Troubleshoot system issues from bare metal to application level, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Extract grid performance metrics to optimize performance and define standard methodologies.
• Collaborate with domain experts to improve chip development infrastructure utilization.

Required Skills

• 3+ years experience in a large, distributed Linux environment (CentOS/RHEL).
• Proficient in UNIX scripting languages and Python.
• In-depth understanding of container technologies like Docker.
• Extensive knowledge of job scheduler administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills for analyzing complex systems and bottlenecks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience analyzing and tuning performance for HPC or EDA workloads.
• Solid understanding of cluster configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Proficiency in Perl for maintaining legacy automation scripts.

BS in Computer Science, similar degree or equivalent experience.
