Description

You will manage application and middleware support in complex, highly regulated on-prem and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead major incident calls and drive root cause analysis to resolve critical production issues.
• Debug system components and resolve application alerts across ingress/egress points.
• Create, modify, and monitor dashboards to improve observability and proactively catch potential issues.
• Collaborate across teams to translate project requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Support weekly and weekend on-call rotations as scheduled.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in application, middleware, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Proficiency with Middleware technologies including Apache, Client, WAS, MQ, Tomcat, and Jboss.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Azure cloud.
• Experience with Redhat Openshift, Kubernetes, AKS, and EKS cluster administration and build.
• Experience deploying applications on Websphere Application Server, Tomcat, or Jboss.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
• Ability to triage application, network, and OS performance issues.
• Knowledge of ITIL change, incident, and problem management processes.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Bitbucket.
