Description

Manage distributed services by automating platform infrastructure installation, configuration, and maintenance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Automate platform service installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Manage system tuning to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Guide software releases for new features and support user consolidation.
• Execute system security practices and troubleshoot system-related problems.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT or software experience.
• 3 years of experience working in production Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
• 3 years of Kubernetes experience maintaining clusters and deploying applications.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.
• Proficiency in Linux automation scripting using Shell or BASH.
• Experience with container technologies including Docker, rkt, containerd, or LXD.
• Experience with virtual networking appliances such as NGINX, HAProxy, F5, or AWS ALB/NLB.
• Experience with Git-centric workflows and release management.

Preferred Skills

• DOD 8570 IAT Level III certification.
• Experience with Azure, GCP, or other public cloud providers.
• Experience writing Ansible playbooks or Windows PowerShell automation.
