Description

You support Linux production environments by automating operational tasks, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting application workloads.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support Linux production environments, investigating performance issues related to memory, processes, and file distribution.
• Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins jobs), automate build processes, and assist in deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash to improve efficiency, handle file distribution, and manage system monitoring.
• Configure process/thread CPU affinity and optimize resource usage based on application requirements using Linux user-space tools.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and network teams to resolve system issues and ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system support, with strong proficiency in troubleshooting commands for processes, memory, and file systems.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket, including configuring and maintaining build jobs.
• Basic understanding of containerized workloads and Kubernetes from a user perspective (running and supporting pods).
• Ability to analyze application performance issues and implement user-space solutions.
• Experience supporting Java or C++ codebases for build troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Rust codebases or experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.
• Knowledge of networking basics relevant to Linux application support (e.g., multicast, network card issues) and security policies (firewalls, SSH, CIS benchmarks).
