Description

Manage data platform stability and deployment consistency across Dev, QA, and Prod environments for SQL Server and GCP.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Ensure database structures, data, and deployment processes remain aligned across the environment lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve DDL drift, schema inconsistencies, and environment misalignment issues.
• Manage environment synchronization and support release and deployment activities.
• Drive automation across the data lifecycle to improve efficiency and reduce risk during releases.
• Standardize processes and documentation to ensure governance and repeatability.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, including query writing, indexing, and schema management.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Proficiency with version control systems, specifically GitHub branching and merge strategies.
• Ability to write basic automation scripts in Python.
• Experience working across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Production) with code and data promotion.
• Solid understanding of release management and change control processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with ETL/data pipeline tools such as SSIS.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
