Description

Own the cloud migration and Kubernetes infrastructure automation, ensuring high availability and reliability for stateful workloads on Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive cloud migration execution, communicating across teams to resolve technical dependencies and clear roadblocks.
• Debug deployment pipelines and infrastructure tools, writing C# code and PowerShell scripts to increase reliability.
• Automate the end-to-end lifecycle of StatefulSets, including provisioning, volume expansion, and graceful termination.
• Implement advanced scheduling logic and disaster recovery pipelines to ensure stateful workloads survive zonal outages.
• Establish objective success metrics using telemetry and data to prove migration speed and environment parity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of senior engineering experience managing services in cloud environments, specifically Azure.
• Deep expertise in Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and migrating/provisioning environments.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementation and refactoring.
• Highly adept at PowerShell scripting and debugging to improve system automation and configuration.
• Strong working knowledge of C# to debug and enhance existing object-oriented infrastructure tooling.
• Proficient in Python or Bash for writing custom controllers or maintenance hooks.
• Expert understanding of Kubernetes StatefulSet controllers, Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs), and CSI.
• Deep experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), persistent storage integration, and networking constraints.

Preferred Skills

• Proven track record of managing production databases or distributed systems (e.g., Postgres, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch) on Kubernetes.
• Experience using GitOps to manage complex stateful deployments where order of operations matters.
