Description

Manage infrastructure and database administration to ensure high availability for always-on services in Pearland, TX.

Responsibilities

• Administer AWS services including EC2, S3, and EDE to maintain production environments.
• Manage and maintain Nginx, MySQL, Monit, and Sphinx configurations.
• Perform database administration tasks to support service uptime and reliability.
• Apply IT operations best practices to maintain continuous service availability.
• Solve complex technical problems within the production environment.

Required Skills

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in DevOps or IT operations.
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically EC2 and S3.
• Experience administering Nginx, MySQL, Monit, and Sphinx.
• Ability to write and understand code in C++, Java, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
• Strong database administration skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
