Description

You will own the operational reliability and automation of production systems, including incident mitigation for virtual cable modem termination systems (vCMTS).

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Handle incident mitigation for vCMTS and partner with regional engineering teams to identify product reliability improvements.
• Build automation tools to implement system upgrades and manage change using risk management principles.
• Collaborate with Product and Project Management to operationalize new product integrations.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation, including off-hours support.
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software issues.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of production operations experience in a 24x7 environment.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash and Python.
• Experience with network troubleshooting and configuration on Juniper, Arista, or Cisco devices.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience in Project Management.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA certification.
• Experience building and replacing system hardware.
