Summary

Full time, in-house AWS DevOps Engineer with primary responsibilities of designing, automating, and deploying services to AWS. Will collaborate to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud platform capabilities using AWS (full stack – network, load balancing, DNS, security, databases, compute, and a range of managed services)
• Build pipeline supporting Continuous Delivery
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures
• Creating monitoring and alerting capabilities
• All standard systems administration tasks, such as: proactive performance tuning, load testing, monitoring and profiling, troubleshooting, back-up and recovery, installations, capacity planning, and configurations on an as needed basis as well as applying patches and performing upgrades
• Manage Development, QA, and Production environments and implement future enhancements to meet business needs
• Assist in overall architecture and infrastructure design
• Proactively manage and implement network security and keep abreast of current security best practices

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in Ops or DevOps role or similar discipline
• Solid understanding of core AWS services and their management in production environments
• Prior AWS Experience Required (EC2-VPC and EC2 Classic, RDS, S3, VPC, SQS, ELB, IAM, ElasticSearch)
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Experience supporting the following Datastores/Databases (MSSQL Server, ElasticSearch)
• Knowledge of PCI/HIPAA and other security related standards and requirements
• Experience supporting security audits
• Proficient in modern web development patterns and practices
• Strong communication, collaboration skills with high attention to detail
• Bachelor degree in technical discipline from a four year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
