DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Kubernetes (6+ Years) | Pune Hybrid

Location: Pune

Work Model: Hybrid – Minimum 2 days work from office (Tuesday & Thursday)

Employment Type: Long-Term Contract

Experience Required: 6+ Years

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in CI/CD automation, Kubernetes, GitOps, and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and managing scalable deployment pipelines, Kubernetes platforms, and automation frameworks across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines from code commit to production deployment.

Manage GitHub workflows including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, release tagging, and repository governance.

Build and optimize pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI, Argo CD, and Argo Workflows.

Implement GitOps-driven Kubernetes deployments and automated release workflows.

Manage container registries such as Docker Hub, Harbor, JFrog, Nexus, and Artifactory.

Develop reusable YAML templates for pipelines, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and Kustomize configurations.

Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting.

Deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GCP GKE, OpenShift, RKE, and on-prem environments.

Implement deployment strategies including rolling, canary, and blue-green deployments.

Integrate security and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines including SAST, DAST, image scanning, and policy validations.

Improve platform reliability, observability, deployment speed, and feedback cycles.

Collaborate with Development, QA, SRE, Platform Engineering, and Operations teams to drive DevOps best practices.

Required Skills

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines for microservices and distributed systems.

Expertise in GitHub and Git workflows including GitFlow and trunk-based development.

Hands-on experience with Jenkins, CircleCI, Argo CD, and Argo Workflows.

Strong Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience.

Proficiency in YAML, Helm, Kustomize, Python, and Bash scripting.

Strong Linux, Docker, and containerization fundamentals.

Experience managing hybrid or multi-cloud Kubernetes environments.

Automation-first mindset with focus on eliminating manual operational tasks.

Preferred Skills

Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

Monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or OpenTelemetry.

DevSecOps and Kubernetes security best practices.

Experience with GitOps platforms such as Argo CD or Flux.

Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and hybrid infrastructure.

Basic understanding of databases and messaging systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.

Proven production experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD platforms.

Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.

Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS, Azure, GCP, or Terraform are a plus.

Standard business hours with flexibility to support PST or EST overlap based on project requirements.
