Description

You will lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from one GitLab instance to another following a company acquisition.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Migrate approximately 300 pipelines and 700 repositories to a new GitLab instance while optimizing for efficiency and security.
• Assess current CI/CD infrastructure to identify requirements, specifications, and potential areas for improvement.
• Develop and execute migration plans that ensure minimal disruption to existing development workflows.
• Verify data integrity and performance stability of the new GitLab environment.
• Provide technical support and regular updates to engineering teams and stakeholders throughout the transition.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Deep expertise in GitLab, specifically CI/CD pipelines, Artifact Registry, and Repository Management.
• Proven experience with GitLab migrations and project planning.
• Proficiency with Ansible for configuration management and application deployment.
• Strong understanding of Linux environments.
• Experience working with AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform.
• Knowledge of microservice architecture.
