Description

Responsibilities:

• Develops, maintains, and improves automated CI/CD pipelines
• Develops and maintains code used to deploy cloud infrastructure
• Builds deployment automation to provision cloud data services and infrastructure
• Provides 24/7 support via on-call schedule
• Provides cost management support to value streams in the design and operational phases of implementation.
• Creates conceptual and detailed technical design documents and standards.
• Enhances automation of applications, systems, and platforms and identifies opportunities for streamlining, and continuous process improvement.
• Tests and resolves problems, performs root cause analysis, identifies gaps, recommends solutions and preventative measures, and leads team members to solution delivery plans.
• Maintains current, working knowledge of industry trends and best practices in DevOps technology and cost optimization.
• Maintains current, working knowledge of cloud resource implementation best practices.
• Supports the development of cloud platform standards based on cost, capability, and capacity requirements.
• Participate in off hours 24/7 on call support on a rotational basis

Technical Skills:

• 8+ years experience with Automation and Orchestration tooling/technology (Git, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) suite with a working knowledge of:
  • BigQuery
  • Cloud Storage
  • Pub/Sub
  • Dataflow
  • Cloud Functions
  • Cloud Run
  • Secret Manager
  • Spanner
  • AlloyDB
  • Dataplex
• 5+ years of experience deploying infrastructure with Terraform
• Effective use of AI and/or LLMs to increase efficiency in deliverables
• Solid understanding of application architecture, network technologies, and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong scripting skills (Powershell, Bash, Python etc.)
• Professional cloud infrastructure development experience recommended (Azure, GCP, Infrastructure as Code) and/or Google Cloud Platform certification(s)
