Description

You will own Kubernetes security, vulnerability management, and infrastructure automation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce Kubernetes security controls including RBAC, network policies, and pod security standards.
• Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact, recommending remediation strategies.
• Monitor system logs using Splunk to detect anomalies, threats, and defense gaps.
• Conduct root cause analysis for security incidents and produce actionable reports for service owners.
• Support migration from open-source to commercially supported products and maintain security documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux systems administration (CentOS Stream preferred).
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes security, including securing stateful workloads and managing secrets.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
• Experience with vulnerability management, scanning, triage, and remediation workflows.
• Hands-on experience securing Java applications and Apache HTTP Server.
• Proficiency with Git repositories and version control workflows.
• Experience implementing and managing SSL/TLS certificates.
• Experience with Splunk for log monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
• Knowledge of container security with Docker and relevant certifications (Security+, CISSP).
