Description

You will design, maintain, and scale infrastructure for multi-tiered distributed applications in a fully remote US-based role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux/Unix environments, hardware, security, and software across development and production systems.
• Develop scalable Linux servers and manage application deployments, script creation, and backups.
• Standardize QA procedures, overseeing testing, debugging, and fix development.
• Monitor system performance, network security, and server activity to proactively resolve issues.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and transitions from test to production environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development, data center operations, or cloud computing infrastructure.
• Expertise in AWS, including Systems, Network, and Database Architecture.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments and advanced Command-Line expertise.
• Experience with LAMP systems and client-server communication protocols.
• Knowledge of Load Balancing, Server Security, and Data Security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: ELK, Sumo Logic, DataDog, Graphite, Sensu, or Nagios.
• Practical understanding of IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS infrastructures.
• Experience working within formal Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.

Preferred Skills

• Master's Degree in a relevant technical field.
