You will build and maintain backend platform services to support internal developer workflows and self-service capabilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build core components for the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to drive self-service and reduce engineering toil.
• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services following GitOps and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Integrate monitoring, tracing, and alerting tools into platform foundations to ensure observability.
• Drive operational excellence through incident response, on-call participation, and postmortem leadership.
• Contribute to technical designs, perform code reviews, and lead Agile/Kanban workflows.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 6+ years of backend development using Java (preferred) or Python.
• 6+ years of experience with AWS and building cloud-native infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience deploying and operating Kubernetes workloads in EKS or similar environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, GitLab Runner, or Jenkins.
• Experience implementing IAM policies, role-based access, and AD integration.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools including CloudWatch, Datadog, and Elastic Search.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, and systems reliability principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues using JIRA and PagerDuty.

Preferred Skills

• Experience evaluating and upgrading language versions and frameworks.
• Background in creating training and onboarding programs for new customers.
