Description

Lead the strategic migration of AWS applications to VMware environments, owning the end-to-end execution of infrastructure, code, and networking changes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for onboarding AWS applications to VMware, overseeing data, code development, and networking activities.
• Test shared infrastructure services including Kafka, Redis, Cloudian, Flink, and PostgreSQL for failover environments.
• Ensure connectivity between failover and existing services such as LDAP, DNS, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Splunk.
• Deploy risk applications using new deployment pipelines on RTOP and lead code changes for VMware compatibility.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, and operational testing strategies for risk applications.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of technical leadership, strategy, and planning experience.
• 15+ years developing cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven applications on AWS and VMware.
• 10+ years in leadership, stakeholder management, and managing offshore teams.
• 6-7 years in application modernization using Virtualization, DevOps, Terraform, and DataPipes.
• 6-7 years with Maven/Gradle and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• 5-6 years building Java streaming applications with Flink, Kafka, Java Microservices, and Redis.
• Expertise in continuous deployment and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools including Splunk, LogicMonitor, SignalFX, and Prometheus.
• Deep understanding of data replication, failover, and DR strategies across hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka data replication across AWS and On-Prem environments.
